Why Choose Atlas Learning, LLC?
Glenda Scherer (owner of Atlas Learning, LLC) grew up in poverty, and developed a strong command of reading and writing attained through schooling. These tools gave her the power to better her circumstances and the commitment to ensure every student is afforded the civil right of literacy.
Who do we serve?
We work with students K-12 who are experiencing difficulties with mastering reading, writing and mathematical skills. Our clients are from home schools, private schools, public schools, and pods. We also specialize in reading and writing advancement for high school students who did not reach their potential in traditional educational settings.
What methods do you use to help students learn to read and write?
We use a structured literacy approach for teaching reading, spelling, and handwriting. It is commonly referred to as, the "Science of Reading" because research shows using kinesthetic, auditory, and visual input is most effective in creating the pathways for automaticity in the brain.
Where are you located?
We are located in historic Gladstone, Oregon off the DMV exit! Minutes from Clackamas, Oregon City, Milwaukie, or West Linn.

We are a micro school that teaches students K-12 who need direct instruction in math, reading, or writing in a 1:1 or small group setting. We limit our small groups to THREE students at a time.
