 Glenda Scherer (owner of Atlas Learning, LLC) grew up in poverty, and  developed a strong command of reading and writing attained through schooling. These tools gave her the power to better her circumstances  and the commitment to ensure every student is afforded the civil right of literacy.  

We work with students K-12 who are experiencing difficulties with mastering reading, writing and mathematical skills.    Our clients are from home schools, private schools, public schools, and pods.  We also specialize in reading and writing advancement for high school students who did not reach their potential in traditional educational settings.

We use the Orton-Gillingham, structured literacy approach for teaching reading, spelling, and handwriting.   It is commonly referred to as, the "Science of Reading" because research shows using kinesthetic, auditory, and visual input is most effective in creating the pathways for automaticity in the brain.

We are located in historic Gladstone, Oregon off the DMV exit! Minutes from Clackamas, Oregon City, Milwaukie, or West Linn.
